TAIWAN – ASEAN
COLLABORATION

The objective of this project is to strengthen international collaboration between Taiwan and ASEAN countries, as well as to promote Taiwanese education and attract international students. A pivotal collaboration event is the Summer Camp in 2024, involving participants such as high school students, teachers, undergraduate students, professors, and individuals from Taiwan Tech.

The week-long Summer Camp will provide participants with the opportunity to explore Taiwan and Taiwan Tech. The activities encompass a combination of cultural and technological experiences, including participation in small projects with presentations at the culmination of the camp.

Furthermore, we aim to establish diverse collaborations with potential partners in ASEAN countries. In Indonesia, collaboration is sought with institutions such as Universitas Indonesia (UI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), and Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). In Vietnam, partnerships are envisioned with high schools like High School for the Gifted - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University, Le Hong Phong High School, Tran Dai Nghia High School, and universities including VinUni, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Danang University of Science and Technology (DUT), and Can Tho University.

In terms of potential collaborations, initiatives include organizing education fairs at partner universities for student recruitment, as well as offering lab internships and joint research opportunities. Professors at Taiwan Tech are prepared to host students from partner universities for lab internships, and collaboration with professors from these universities will guide students in joint research endeavors. Students can initiate research projects at their home institutions and then conclude their research at Taiwan Tech.
